Filming has begun on new ITV series Mr Bates vs. The Post Office, written by acclaimed screenwriter Gwyneth Hughes (Tom Jones, Honour, Vanity Fair) and produced by ITV Studios and Little Gem. 

ITV has announced the cast for its upcoming three-part drama You & Me – in addition to offering a first look at the series. Industry's Harry Lawtey, The End of the F***ing World's Jessica Barden and Borderland's Sophia Brown take on the lead roles in the show, which is penned by Jamie Davis and has Russell T Davies as an executive producer. The hugely popular My Name is Leon picks up I Telly Award for Best Single Drama and nominated for same category in Broadcast Awards. This 89-minute screen of Kit De Waal’s novel of the same name has been enriched by the involvement of new-to-TV talents with relevant personal backgrounds. The screenplay is written by Shola Amoo, the writer-director of 2019’s phenomenal independent film The Last Tree, which drew on his own childhood stint in foster care. The director is Lynette Linton, playwright and artistic director of London’s Bush theatre, who, like Leon, is mixed-race with a Black Caribbean father and a white mother.

Rob Williams' new darkly comic drama, portrays life in prison as you've never seen it before: through the embattled and inspiring characters who work there. Starring Nina Sosanya and Jamie-Lee O'Donnell from Derry Girls. In each episode, Wolfe Kinteh has to deal, not only with some disturbing cases but also an increasingly complicated personal life.

Nicholas Pinnock (Top Boy) and Joe Cole (Gangs of London) are among the star-studded cast who appear in ITV’s Unsaid Stories. This series of short films was inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement.

The stories include a conversation between two former flames, a black woman and a white man; a black father and daughter discussing Black Lives Matter; and a light-skinned, mixed-race woman confronting her own mother’s colourism.

ITV’s Head of Drama Polly Hill said of the commission: “The scripts are unique and engaging, about real people in completely real situations, confronting and exploring racism and prejudice. I hope in some small way each of these films will bring about change.”

Awakening was inspired by, and recorded in, a selection of churches in and around London. Many of the pieces on the album where improvised in situ and then edited and added to in order to achieve the finished recordings. “I wanted to be able to channel some of that mood, some of that calmness that I always find when I wander into a church – some of these churches are the oldest buildings we have – and it always amazes me that most of the time they are so beautifully quiet and serene – I simply set up my equipment and started to play. “

The album also features Thomas Gould, Herman Ringer and Klara Schumann on violin, viola and cello respectively. The album cover is by the celebrated surrealist Italian painter Alessandro Sicoldr. A long time fan of his Vince approached Alessandro who agreed to allow his painting L’Attesa o ll Risveglio to be used. “ I love working with other artists and what could be better for the cover than to be able to have something so wonderful ?” Awakening is released on August 6th

At a time when the world needs us now more than ever, Vince’s latest release coincides with World Earth Day. The 2 track EP, part of Vince’s project to record in churches throughout London raising money for the homeless will be a precursor to a full album of track later in the summer. Maxxx the new series and brainchild of OT Fagbenle set to hit our screens. The pop-world satire is produced by Luti Fagbenle’s production company, Luti Media, for E4. O-T Fagbenle, who has recently been filming his role in Marvel’s Black Widow, said of the new series - “In all humility, it's likely to be the funniest series of all time.”

A long time before Peter Moffat wrote Undercover he penned Criminal Justice, now the basis of the hit HBO mini-series The Night Of. As an ex-barrister Paul Moffat knows a thing or two about the way our legal system works and his latest work, Undercover, is a conspiracy thriller loosely based on real life events.

The six-part BBC television drama series was co-produced with BBC America. It is now available to watch on Netflix.

RTE is set to follow up its 1916 drama Rebellion with a new series. 

Resistance, which will run for five episodes, will follow the earlier show's characters amidst a bloody guerrilla war between the Irish Republican Army and British forces in Ireland during the War of Independence.

Vince teamed up with director Catherine Moorshead for this period drama.
